One store towns are excellent Explorer stops!


PIQUA, Woodson County

Piqua, unincorporated, is located between Yates Center and Iola.

ONE STORE: FARMERS CO-OP FARM STORE
2nd and Wellington.
Open Monday-Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday 8-noon.
In summer, open at 7 a.m. and all day Saturday.

If he's not at the grain elevator or in a field, KE #3460 Don Lampe may greet you at the Farm Store. This is where you'll find farm supplies, plumbing supplies, and groceries, or you can get your oil changed and tires! If you're there on Tuesdays, you can even get your haircut! Tuesday is the day The Barber Shop is open at the Co-op. Jay McNett is the barber and he charges all of $6!

BUT ALSO...
Silverado's, 112 2nd, is the bar and grill and they are well known for their steaks and broasted chicken! Open for lunch specials Tuesday-Saturday and evening Thursday-Saturday.

The water office is home to a small Buster Keaton Museum. Yes, Buster Keaton was born in Piqua! Find out how that came to be. The water office is open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. 620.468.2385.

St. Martin's Church is now closed for regular mass, but the doors to this 1922 church are open. A statue of St. Isidore, the patron saint of farmers, stands outside. The church is on the south side of U.S. 54.
